Keren Valentin:
Gateway of Hope House of Restoration
Keren is a survivor of childhood abuse and knows firsthand what survivors go through. That is one of the many reasons that Keren wants to start Gateway of Hope House of Restoration. Keren believes that every survivor has the strength to heal and be healed. To achieve wholeness and a productive life. Keren has found freedom and peace from her past and want's the same for others. Keren wants to help women find their healing and their strength, to move on from a painful past to a more effectual future. Keren has a vision in her heart... to establish a home for survivors of childhood abuse of all types and assault/rape victims and sexual trafficking victims, to bring freedom to their hearts and minds. To no longer be hostages to their painful past/present but to live a bountiful and effective life.

This may not be known, but there are not any homes in New York State that are directed for survivors of Childhood abuse of all types, victims of rape, assault and sexual trafficking. There are many homes with those dealing with drugs and alcohol, domestic violence and homes for young women form teens to twenty-six. But there are no homes where survivors of past abuse/rape, assault and sexual trafficking, that can go and find healing and direction through therapy, counseling, groups and activities. Where women from age eighteen to sixty-five can go and rebuild their hearts and lives, to finally find the peace that they silently hunger for. That is why we need a home to address those who have been forgotten in the process of life. No one should suffer for so long without finding a place where they can heal and live life as it should have been lived, with peace of mind and a healed soul.

Keren's heart is set on helping women that have been forgotten, dismissed and dis-believed. To help them reach their full potential and give them hope; to awaken their dreams and their desires to have  a healthy future.  Keren will also be in helping survivors who are dealing with MPD/DID.

Keren has been married for thirty-two years to a caring man and has a beautiful daughter. Keren has been a believer since the age of five and that being said; it doesn't mean that there haven’t been any challenges through her life. There were many times that it appeared that Keren wouldn't have made it to see another day, so she knows firsthand what survivors are going through.

Keren's husband is a wonderful loving man who has been by her side through every unimaginable and unexpected situation. As a husband of a survivor, he will be teaching a class for husbands, fiancés and boyfriends... on how to support the women in their lives who are survivors of childhood abuse past/present. He will also hold support groups for the men, to help them through their own healing journey, as it has affected them as well. He will teach them how to stand by their women as he stood by Keren.

Keren is also The CEO of the soon to return Inscriptions of Hope Publishing, a small publishing company that publishes booklets from survivors for survivors. Booklets are also written for those who want to support survivors. It’s also a place where therapist, counselors and pastors have written booklets that are helpful and insightful for healing and working through obstacles that life throws our way.

Keren is open minded and down to earth, Keren stands on the word of God to guide her through her life. She believes that kindness and consideration are a priority in a believer’s life; and that love, caring and understanding without judgment should be highly esteemed. Her life story would astound many. Keren has been forgiven much and with much forgiveness comes much love for others and compassion and wholeheartedness.

Keren passes no judgement or condemnation on anyone. She treats everyone with the respect they deserve. Gateway of Hope House of Restoration will NOT be a religious home based on religious fanaticism, it will be based on love, compassion, grace and understanding. She also has been deeply hurt by religion and religious people and she will make sure that everyone will be treated with care, kindness and gentleness and No judgment!

God Bless You,

Esther Pizarro
